Video Detction is a newer form of vehicle detection that can discern and count vehicles and bikes. Iteris is working on Smart Span which allows for a more stable detection facility for places without traffic poles. Their advanced algorithm allows them to discern bikes from cars and allows better signal timing. They also have video detection that allows for specific details that are necessary for Transportation Engineering. Buying from Iteris is tech that is less labor intensive, future proof and viable for all intersections.
